Peach fuzz problems

Kari, on May 2, 2019 at 10:45 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 12
Hi everyone...I have a question about makeup and facial hair. I've decided on air brushes makeup. I like the lightness and the overall coverage of it...but I dont like that it seems to stick on my peach fuzz more than I'd like. I've talked to some of my friends and they all shave their faces?! Lol I didnt know women did that. Has anyone done this and if so any advice..pros...cons...tips???? Should I not do it and leave it alone?

Thanks 💛💛

I've been looking into it! These razors were recommended. I might have a professional do it the first time and see if its something I think I can do.

I'm not sure that I would shave, but threading might be a great option. My skin is pretty sensitive and probably wouldn't be a big fan of shaving, plus shaving leaves the hair with a blunt tip when it grows back, making it more obvious. I would probably have a similar skin reaction to waxing. I know many people who thread their faces, that's how I have my brows done, and they swear by it.

I don't think I'd ever want to shave, wax, or thread anything on my face except for eyebrows. Maybe you can ask the MUA what she says about it?

I never thought that I would shave my face until one day my twin sister told me she has been shaving her face for years. So I researched it and realized a lot of women do it. Once a month a shave away my peach fuzz and it slowly grows back the same as before not thinker not darker just the same. My make up goes on smoother and I don't have fuzz glistening in the sunshine anymore. Every woman is different but I am happy that I found such an easy fix because I was just as nervous as you to try it.

You can get a dermaplane facial. It helps get all of the peach fuzz and dead skin off of your face. Makeup goes on so much smoother and lasts longer

I've done it on occasion. I did it before my makeup trial and it helped everybody sit nicely, granted it wasnt airbrushed but I've never had any problems with it being noticable when it grows back.

I would be scared to shave my face!! They always say if you shave something, the hair grows back longer and thicker.

Actually, I had just the opposite reaction. When I was in college I did some modeling work and had to shave all my body hair including on my arms and it came back lighter, finer, and softer. I don't know if hair color makes a difference since blonde hair does tend to be finer in general while brunette or black hair can be courser in texture.

I have peach fuzz that gets on my nerves when I'm looking at myself in the mirror one inch away from it. Otherwise I don't notice it. I do thread my mustache though.

In my facial last month the spa automatically included dermaplaning. I had always been curious about it but nervous that my hair would grow back darker, thicker, or stubby. I have to say I loved it!! My face was soooo smooth and the regrowth looks exactly like it did before. I may eventually buy one of the tools but in the meantime will probably just periodically do it during a facial.

I know several ladies who shave their peach fuzz regularly. I’ve done it (used a men’s sensitive skin disposable razor) and the whole “the hair will grow back thicker or darker” thing isn’t true in any of our experiences. I’ve also waxed my chin a few times, but my peach fuzz is so thin that waxing rarely gets it all.
