Payment methods

Just wondering if anyone has any advice on payment methods--credit card, bank transfer, PayPal, check, etc. We are paying vendors large sums of money, so what is the best way to pay?--in terms of safety, avoiding fraud, avoiding extra fees, and getting the most out of credit card rewards programs,...

If your vendors accept credit cards it would be ridiculous not to pay that way. Get those rewards--they add up fast! We put pretty much everything on H's Delta SkyMiles card, which helps him get elite status with the airline and a bunch of miles to use for free flights!

Only two of our vendors didn't take credit cards. Our photographers required a check, and our DJ had us use Venmo.

I'm paying cash for everything. I'd rather have it out of the way now.

I am paying by credit card anywhere I can to get the points for it. Otherwise, checks.

Like others it depends on the vendors. My father is paying for my venue (food and alc) with a card that gives him airline miles.

I have been hoarding money in a savings account and i have a 0% credit card that I am going to use to finish paying a few things off.

I have paypal options with a few vendors. Still seeing if I will do that at all or not.

All of my vendors required checks/cash. No one took credit cards.
