Paying for groomsmens tux

Were paying for our GMs rentals and we also paid for the BMs dresses. This is a good reason why you should have the cost discussion before committing to anything. Hopefully the outfit you picked out is in their affordable price range.

We are not planning on paying. However, one if the GMs just lost his job so I'm preparing myself and the budget to help him if we need to.

No, we are not paying for any of the bridal parties attire. We are however giving very nice thank you gifts to make up for their cost.

We have talked about helping GM's and BM's pay for their attire if needed. I am willing to help my girls, Its more important to me to have them up there, than whether or not they can afford it. I may end up helping with 3 of 4 dress and he may have to pay for almost all of his GM tuxes too. His son is Best man, so that is a given, but the others are fairly young guys without a lot of money.

I f*cked up. It was my money and I was feeling generous, so I bought my MOH her dress. I also made the mistake of telling FH. All of the sudden, I was paying for our BM's suit too, which, BTW is way more expensive that the dress. Pissed, but there's not much I can do about it.

We did but we know we are the exception rather than the rule. We thought it would be a nice gesture. Bought attire for entire wedding party.

Right now my wedding party almost everyone it's well off, a few who are not and we will prob help them out if they need it. Even with that we are going to try and keep the cost down for them. This is one area that always made me a little ticked when doing dresses and tuxes. The bride and groom would never take into consideration what their party could afford or talked to them how much it was. I saw many of a people pissed of when they find out the price.

We paid for one groomsmen tux rental but only because it's my brother and he is going through a financial hardship. otherwise everyone paid for themselves.

the way we helped the bridesmaids with their budget was 1 have affordable attire, and 2 they stayed at our house for a few nights before the wedding so they only had to pay for 2 nights at the hotel.

From the vendor perspective, we most often see the members of the wedding party pay for their own attire. That said, I've seen the couple pay in some cases if it's a small wedding party (2 - 3 guys) or in special cases for a member of the wedding party who was having some particular financial issues. In recent memory, we had one large wedding party in which the groom paid for all the groomsmen (8-10 guys) - his arrangement was that he'd pay for the rental (it was for suits) and if they wanted to purchase, they could buy-up on their own if they chose to - definitely more of an exception than the rule here.

Although usually the grooms gift to groomsmen is roughly same cost of tux.

We are paying for the suits and dresses for our bridal party, but then two of my bridesmaids had me in their wedding and paid for mine (and the third bridesmaid is only 7 and her mum had me in her wedding and paid for my dress) so it would be a bit rude not to!

I think in the UK it's a bit more common for the bride and groom to pay for the outfits though.

We are paying for the flower girl & ring bearer's tux but that is it. I feel like when you say yes to being in the bridal party you know that you will forking out some cash for the wedding. I never expected anyone to pay for my bridesmaid dresses in the weddings I have been in.
