Thoughts?
I am trying to decide if I should feel I need to pay for 3-4 girls to have hair and makeup done... another 800.00 about. Feeling conflicted....

It really depends on whether you are requiring them to have their hair & makeup done for the wedding. If so, then yes you should pay for it. If not, then it is not necessary for you to pay.

Thank you!!! I just was thinking it would be something fun to do for pics and all of that stuff.. leaning more towards to paying for just the makeup.

I’m dropping close to 2k to cover hair and makeup for my mom, FH’s mom, and my bridal party, but it was a top priority to me, so we made a way to make it works. I know they all very much appreciate it, FWIW.

Since we are doing a destination wedding, I am covering makeup/hair for my 2 girls, future step MIL, and mom. It's important to me to have them feel beautiful and pampered too. I see it as contributing to the whole experience and bonding while getting ready, not to mention pretty photos and video. 😉 We were able to cut costs elsewhere to make up for it.

I’m not paying for my ladies HMU but I’m also doing it as an option. One bridesmaid opted out and only my MOH and sister are getting the make up done, all bridesmaids (minus the one who completely opted out) are getting their hair done

I am paying for their makeup, but asked them to pay for their hair. They all seemed understanding and willing to do that.

If you are requiring them to have it done for a specific look, then yes, I think you should pay. I gave my ladies the choice to have theirs done with me (at their cost) or do their own since I trust them all to look lovely however they choose to do their hair/makeup.

I am going to pay for their hair, as one of my bridesmaids (cousin) is doing it for us. I am going to let it up to them if they want their makeup done and if they do it will be on them. But I am also trying to find a reasonable priced makeup artist so it won’t cost them a lot.

I'm not requiring it, but I knew everyone was interested in getting both. I booked all the services and let everyone know it was on me. Everyone was so surprised and delighted. I think this is more the exception than the rule, but I am thrilled I can do this for them.

I gave my girls the option to get hair/makeup and I know It can be expensive so I'm hoping they want to get at least one service done so I can feel like we got ready together. So I went and got them all gift cards to the salon to help with the cost!

I'm paying for their makeup as the gift. I asked before, and they were both fine with it. Actually, they were pretty excited! I also got them robes, thank you cards, and a tote bag to make the morning extra special. I told them that if they wanted to get their hair done, they'd need to pay for it.

My 1st wedding I gave people the option, so they paid their own way. The salon we went to gave a group discount so everyone got 20% off, which was nice. My upcoming wedding will be smaller and won’t have a traditional bridal party so it won’t be a dilemma. I’ve been a bridesmaid before and never had a bride fund my hair/makeup. In my circle, we pay our own way. It’s part of the financial cost of being a bridesmaid.

This is why I've decided not to just get any bridesmaids for my wedding. They don't do much on the wedding anyway. And I will just spend for their dress hair and makeups and who knows if a lot more.

I thought they were suppose to pay for their own hair and makeup😫 because after the wedding you also have to give them a gift to for helping and participating so.... that’s a lot to consider 🤗

I'm paying for my bridal party's hair and makeup as part of my gift to them. They already spent so much on their bridesmaids' dresses, my bridal shower, and bachelorette party. So I guess it's my way of thanking them for helping make my wedding day and me feel special. Plus, I want them all to look good for pictures lol
