Pax meaning?

Sara, on September 27, 2017 at 5:00 PM Posted in Planning 0 6

I am researching catering options for my upcoming wedding and for all of the party platters it says based on 30 pax. I was wondering if anyone knows what this means? Thank you in advance!!

I thought Pax meant "peace," in Latin. You learn something every day...

@Dreamer it absolutely means "peace" in Latin. So when I read this yesterday I thought it was a bizarre shorthand for "pieces." But not knowing for sure, I kept my mouth shut.

Regardless of how they arrived at that abbreviation/spelling, it seems clear that in this context it's meant to signify "number of people"

Sorry, I thought this was a dup thread.

eta: I could have swore I saw different responses from when I saw this last night. Guess it's the alcohol. My bad.
