If the timeline for when to expect them is not included in your contract, I think it is fine to send an email thanking her for the preview she sent, and just asking when you can expect to see the rest.

Give them at least two weeks. Be patient.

Agree with PP above, check your contract. Mine took 5 weeks but it was in my contract.


Try to give them a couple of weeks. You have to remember, they have to edit photos and they probably have multiple jobs in the queue that need to be worked when they’re not out shooting a wedding or engagement session. I think editing is actually the more time consuming part of the job. Hopefully the silver lining to all this coronavirus stuff is that your photographer will be able to edit your photos quicker. She probably has more free time nowadays than before since most weddings are being postponed and people are staying home.

I would say on 2 weeks time to ask for an update on when you’ll receive them if no time is mentioned.

My photographer told us that it would take 4 to 6 weeks to edit photos and get them to us. I’d wait a little bit to allow your photographer to perfect the photos, most of them do the “sneak peeks” of ones that are quick and easy to edit while they work on the images that may take more time.
