Passport office was a headache & mini rant

We turned in our passport renewal/passport application done today and it was a headache. I originally wanted to get it done on Tuesday but this week has been ridiculous im not sure why it was so hectic for me but it was just a lot going on.


This week included a phone interview which got delayed by 2 days, meeting with my wedding coordinator, counseling with our pastor, which we were rushing to finish & barely even did half of this weeks homework for counseling. On Wednesday we got our marriage license and were SUPPOSED to handle passports again but I forgot to bring my Birth certificate. And I almost lost my phone because I left on the counter at the marriage license office and had to turn around to get it (the marriage license office is 30min away). This week I was also planning my daughters birthday party which is tomorrow & putting together goody bags. I planned & purchased our honeymoon. I was supposed to finish all my flower diy & do my taxes whichhh is not going to get done. And on top of that sunday is my dress fitting. Its been an up & down of getting things accomplished & not.

Now the passports. We are at 8weeks until the honeymoon so I was really trying to get it done this week. We arrived at the passport office (which is 45min drive one way) 20min after they opened at 10:50am and the guy told us to come back at 3pm. We drive 45min back home & come back to the office early 30+min early hoping we could get in sooner but the office was closed until 3:30pm, so extra waiting time. Our number was called and THANK GOODNESS I just so happened to bring the Original copy of my birth certificate & not just a photocopy. And turns out for FH passport renewal it has to be mailed (I saw a mailing address on the app but I thought it could also be done in person) so go to the post office wait in line to mail it. 3hrs total driving time, 2hrs waiting.
