Pashmina basket, to do or not?

I was reading tons of forums on welcome bags for destination weddings "the hits and misses." Everyone said the ladies loved the pashminas and they saw many guests wearing them around the resort, they were a HIT! Although I think if I were going to a NJ wedding I would dress for the weather, so for me I think they are unnecessary.

I did this for my wedding.... my husband was like, "i dont think they will go to use, but go ahead".... FYI we had our wedding in San Juan - outdoor terrace ceremony and then indoor reception. they were a HUGE hit. i still have people comment about how much they love them, and it reminds them of the great trip to PR.

i had them in 2 places.... i draped them on the ceremony chairs with bows tied around them... and then we had an additional baskets of them in the reception space.

it was perfect, as it was a sunset ceremony and it did get breezy there by the ocean, as well, the reception space was a little on the cool side as well. i purchased 40, and i think i got home with 4 - so they were definitely appreciated! i think it is just a thoughtful nice touch for your guests, and kind of doubles as a gift!

I think it's a great idea I have seen a basket of flip flops and that was a hit. Just a little tip if you ever come into NYC much cheaper you may even get a deal since you need to buy a few.
