Park Wedding Ceremony

Marmarin, on June 1, 2020 at 12:28 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 6

Hello everyone, congratulations to the newly weds, about to be wed and engaged couples.

Sadly I am neither, as COVID19 has not allowed my partner to go and see a ring and then propose. I am however starting my wedding planning for next year and want advise about having my ceremony as a local park. Has anyone done that? Not sure if the ceremony place I originally wanted will be within my budget. Any help or guidance will be greatly appreciated.

I had considered having mine at a local park but decided against it since it wouldn't be that private. however that is not a bad idea because i noticed the fees for some are low.

Not sure If this counts but for my first wedding we had our ceremony in the Boston Public Gardens under the willow trees next to the pond. We had to follow the city guidelines with permits and had to pay $100. There was not designated area we just found a spot and got married.

We got married in the rose garden of a local park. The park was free. We only had 4 guests and it was perfect. Yes it wasn't totally private there were people watching from a distance. But honestly I didn't even notice the 4 guests we had it was all about us. Park Wedding Ceremony 1

Outdoor weddings are nice! Just make sure it's not in a windy area and you have a plan for rainy days.

You'll have to check with the individual park about what kinds of things they will allow. Some dont care, while others may have restrictions about setting up chairs and such. Also, a ring doesn't make an engagement, the commitment of two people deciding to take the steps towards marriage does. Congratulations to you and your future spouse on all the great things to come 😁!

Some states/towns require you to get a permit in order to get married at a public park. I would call the town and make sure. Good luck!
