We are thinking about booking the Pratt House in NYC for our Fall 2019 wedding. We are currently looking at two different caterers (waiting on pricing). One is Park Avenue Catering, but I've been struggling to find reviews. I've spoken on the phone with Tim Brown, their Director of Special Events, who seems great. Very enthusiastic, genuinely excited and seems like the kind of person who would make the day as stress-free as possible. But the fact that they don't have too many reviews is making me a little nervous about the food quality. Anyone have any experience with them?

Hey Ellen!! I'm having trouble finding reviews as well, even here on WeddingWire. It looks like they've got some testimonials on their own website and there's a couple of reviews on Google, but that's it. Is there any way you could set up a tasting before committing to booking them? Has the Pratt House ever worked with them before? Could they provide some insight?

Hi Maggie, thanks for following up! I wasn't able to find any other reviews and we ultimately decided to go with the slightly more expensive caterer because food is a big priority for us for the day.

I am actually in the process of posting a review about Tim - we used him for our wedding in October 2017 at Harold Pratt House and he was amazing. My wife and I highly recommend him!

I realize you’ve gone with another choice and this note is too late to help influence your decision, but I still wanted to post here so others will find it in the future. Below is our review...

Review of PARK AVENUE CATERING (NYC):

Tim was the lynchpin to an absolutely perfect wedding. He was patient, kind, creative and an absolute pleasure to work with during the months of planning leading up to our wedding and on the day of. The food was fantastic - we received compliments from almost every guest who attended - which was incredibly important to us as many of our friends and family are foodies and/or in the restaurant business. He gave us great wine options that “punched above their weight” for the price, and he helped us find the perfect aesthetic that made all of the rooms for our wedding look amazing. Tim was truly a partner for us and we trusted him fully to get it perfect for us. That helped to take a lot of stress out of the process, and made planning so much more enjoyable.

To Tim: Thank you for all your hard work and for helping us truly get to the wedding we dreamed of!

To everyone else: If you want a perfectly planned and executed wedding, with a great partner in your corner, Tim is your man no doubt in our minds!
