Hey everyone! Are you having your parents and your future spouses parents sit together at your reception? My future sis in law got married last weekend and the parents sat separately and it was awesome. I hadn’t considered that. Let me know your plan!

We're having parents separate- and even my mom and dad are at different tables since they're separated (they get along). I originally thought they should go together but after putting some tables together, it just wouldn't work.

They'll each be at a front table with their families! We each come from larger families and we wanted everyone to be comfortable during the dinner do that seemed best! However if they know each other well and/or have small families it could work! I would go on gut feel Smiley smile

Our parents will all sit together with the kids. That way we can sit at the head table and enjoy our time together.

We originally were going to have one table with his family and one with mine (parents, grandparents, aunts who helped raise us, etc.) but the numbers didn't work. So we ended up having two "honor" tables - the first being our combined parents and grandparents (plus my one sister who is not a member of the bridal party) and a second table with the aunts, uncles and cousins who we were very close to - and those numbers worked out perfectly. Everyone gets along well (except his sister, who is sitting on the OTHER side of the room - by his request lol) so mixing them or separating them was thankfully not an issue!

Mine will all be separate. My mom will sit at a table with family on one end of the reception space, his family in the middle, and my dad will sit at a table on the other end of the reception space with his family.
