Are you doing parent gifts? If so how much are you spending per parent?

We spent about $300 on each parent. But that doesn't mean that's what's expected or right. Just get something thoughtful.

We don't really have a budget per parent, we are just getting thoughtful gifts. My dad is paying for 95% of the wedding, and he can buy whatever he needs so I don't see a point in spending a ton of money on his gift. He would more appreciate a nice letter, picture frame, and a nice cigar. I'm getting my mother a personalized picture frame and a letter, as well as my fiance's mother. Not sure yet about his stepmother, my stepfather, or his father.

We are paying for the rehearsal dinner for everyone, so that’ll be their gift. Although they are contributing somewhat to the wedding, we don’t have enough money to give them extravagant gifts, and I’m sure they don’t particularly want anything. Dinner is nice because everyone can mingle and just enjoy the night.

We’re doing approx $50/parent. For moms I got some fine jewelry on sale so I got $150 necklaces for $30 plus a jewelry box and a junk jewelry bracelet. FH is in charge of dads gifts, I think he decided on engraved watches. This reminds me I have to nag him about that haha 😂

I am doing personalized frames from things remembered for each set of parents. After the wedding, we will give each a family wedding pic to place in the frame! I also got my dad a personalized tie clip to open the day of, and my mom a handkerchief. I also booked my parents one night up in the mountains at a fancy B&B for throwing my shower for me!

We bought a set of custom embroidered handkerchiefs. It was $78 for all 4 which was great for us!

We are planning to take all three sets of parents out to dinner at a nice restaurant the Thursday before the wedding weekend. Budgeting to spend $600 total on the dinner, so ~$75/parent.

I think parents will love and appreciate anything you give them regardless of price.

We are spending around $40-$50 per parent.

My mom: a tibetan prayer locket necklace that I will put a small note inside.

My dad: guitar picks with pictures of us on them in an engraved wood pick box

His mom: an engraved picture frame that says "today a groom, tomorrow a husband, forever your son" with a picture of them when he was a kid in it.

His dad: we're still trying to figure that out!
