Parents and Grandparents

Cheyenne, on January 19, 2017 at 11:51 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 4

I am wanting to know what order or how you all chose to walk the parents and grandparents down the aisle. My FMIL told me should wants to be walked down by her son and that she wants him to also walk his grandmother down. I will also have my mother and step father and my grandma and grandpa.

In what order and who did you have walk your family members down the aisle?

Havent given this much thought yet..but the son could walk grandma down and then just walk around the seats to then walk mom down. I would have someone walk down in between them just so the son has enough time to get back to walk with mom

Traditional order is groom (or first bride)'s paternal grandmother, maternal grandmother, bride (or second groom) 's paternal grandmother, maternal grandmother, then MOG, then MOB. They can be escorted by anyone you'd like and their spouse follow behind, or their spouse can escort them.

We're having FH's younger cousins escort his grandmas, FH is escorting his mom (because they deserve a walk down the aisle together too!), then my oldest nephew is escorting my mom.

At my brother's wedding, his wife's brother walked a BM down and then returned to walk down his sister, the bride. I think anything can be done.

Were doing FOB parents (no other grandparents) then FOG and wife then MOG and husband, Then my son (who is Jr. Bestman) will walk my mom down to her seat, then come back around the chairs to walk down with the guys.
