Parent Mini Gifts - Done ✅

Kimberly, on September 18, 2020 at 3:45 PM Posted in Planning 0 12

I finally got all the parent gifts done and need to wrap them to give at the rehearsal dinner. I’m so excited with how they turned that I had to share.

Gift for Groom’s MomA gold family tree necklace with card that thanks her for extending the branches of their family tree to me. 💕 Parent Mini Gifts - Done ✅ 1
Gift for Groom’s DadHe isn’t as touchy feely and prefers things he can use, so we got him a tumbler cup to use the day of the wedding. His sense of humor will like this a lot.Parent Mini Gifts - Done ✅ 2
Gift for my momI’m the only daughter and wanted to give her a little something so got a custom tea mug of the two of us for her to have/use forever. (She drinks a lot of tea)Parent Mini Gifts - Done ✅ 3

Gift for my DadMy dad’s gift I am the most excited about. It is a tie patch to attach to the back of his tie. It’s a photo of the two of us in one of our favorite moments together. The text says “I loved you first.” He’s going to cry which is going to make me cry but totally worth it 😭😂Parent Mini Gifts - Done ✅ 5
That’s it! Anyone else giving mini gifts to the parents/FILs before/day of the wedding?

We aren’t getting anything for FHs parents. They weren’t great parents when he was growing up, they aren’t close now, and they aren’t contributing ANYTHING (when time other then showing up) to the wedding. FH didn’t want to do gifts for them.
But we got my parents these handkerchiefs Parent Mini Gifts - Done ✅ 6

Understandable. I guess I should have phrased my question differently since everyone is different. I’m sorry if I didn’t phrase it better. Those are sweet messages on the handkerchiefs you chose. I really like the lace detail on the mom handkerchief.

No you worded it perfectly!! Honestly if his parents were just nicer in general, we’d get them something 😂 but his sister basically raised him. We aren’t even 100% sure his parents will show up, which is another reason why he didn’t want to get them anything

I got the mug on Etsy at https://etsy.me/3cbqtFy for I think $20? It was fun to personalize it with the different options.
