Hi all! We are planning to make up some photo albums for our parents after the wedding as their gift, so I'm wondering how you would still show appreciation and love on the day-of if the gift won't be given until later. I was thinking maybe writing a nice card/note and mentioning in there that an album will be forthcoming. Thoughts?

    We are also gifting our parents albums. For the wedding we got some inexpensive ($60 each) gifts off Etsy. We got the moms lace clutches that match their dresses but the lining of the clutch is a photo of us. My moms is a photo of me and her from when I was young and his moms the same of him and her. Our dads we got photo tie patches with a little note. It goes on the bottom of the back of their tie.

    I think the idea of writing a heartfelt letter or card to present on the day and expressing your sincere thanks in the moment (whenever you feel it) will be perfect. I wouldn't even mention the forthcoming album if you'd rather that be a surprise. Your parents are not going to wonder why you didn't get them a gift on the day; they will just be happy to celebrate and be touched by your card.

    That's exactly what I did Liz!! I actually let them know even before the wedding that their gift was going to be a really nice professional photo album (so they weren't expecting something on the wedding day).

    For the weekend of the wedding I gave them really heartfelt thank you notes with a reminder of the album to come! Smiley heart
