I'm in the same boat. I mentioned buying parent gifts was still on my to-do list and my FMIL and FFIL thought it was unnecessary for me/us to get them a gift (even though they've contributed an amount equal to what my parents have given for the wedding) and said they don't really want anything sooooo I have no clue what I'll do. I'll definitely get a nice card. Maybe a gift card to a restaurant? I'm thinking of getting my parents a personalized ornament off etsy with little watercolor drawings of a mom, dad, and bride with a cute quote on it since my parents like collecting christmas ornaments.

Maybe a gift card for now and then write in the card that you'll get them a nice canvas family photo once your photos are done

We are planning on gifting our parents a photo album or a collage of framed photos after the wedding. Since neither side cares for gifts much we are also giving them personalized reusable Starbucks cups. They are only costing us about $5 each so if they toss them or don't use them, it would be much-wasted money.
