Parent Gifts - who gets who?

Kate, on May 21, 2019 at 4:09 PM Posted in Family and Relationships 0 6

We have the groom's parents & the bride's mom.

As the bride am I to get something for my mom and his mom? What about his dad?

As the groom is he supposed to get something for his mom and my mom? Again, what about dad?

Father's day happens to be the day after the wedding so I think we are going to get his dad something extra special for Father's day - so that should be ok right?

We are giving them joint gifts. Each parent is getting a gift, but just 1.

I was planning to get gifts for all the parents that would be from us both. I think it would be sweet to do something special for Father's Day too!

I don't believe we are technically giving FILs gifts. We are giving them a thank you gift for hosting our rehearsal dinner. It will likely be a gift card to a restaurant and wine. I'm getting my parents gifts.

Technically the gifts will be from both of us but I went ahead and bought gifts for the moms and girls in the wedding party. The dads and the guys I am having a hard time with so I will need his help.

I think we'll jointly do gifts for the moms.

For the dads, I'm thinking tuxedo t-shirts because they're both huge jokesters. Smiley laugh

I think getting his dad something for Father's Day is a delightful idea.
