Parent dances

Our order is: entrances, first dance, toasts, blessing, dinner, cake cutting, parent dances, dancing opens. You could just at easily do the parent dances before dinner but people might be hungry and antsy.

We are doing a cocktail hour before the reception so we are hoping they won’t be too hungry. We just want to make sure we get it done early enough that we don’t have to worry about he photographer leaving.

I personally felt weird splitting up the first dance and the parent dances so our current schedule is doing them all after the main reception entrance then opening dinner after. I agree with Kristin that guests could get hungry, so if you do choose to go with that option make sure the dances are kept short and you have a good amount of appetizers during cocktail hour.

We are doing the same order. Enter. Our dance. Me and my dad him and his mom. We are talking maybe 15 minutes. No one will starve in 15 minutes. Mind you we are also not keeping people waiting for 30-45 minutes while we do photos those are all before the ceremony with only 15 minutes after for the family that won’t be there before

My friend did all her dances right after their introduction and it seemed SO long we were ready to eat!
I think I want to do our first dance after we are introduced and our parent dances after dinner like PP suggested
