Paperless?

Is it tacky or cheap to go completely paperless for your wedding? Be honest with me... I'm thinking most people toss them, barely read them etc. So many it is worth saving the money I'm also thinking, let's not look cheap (even if we are) :-) Need my WW community honesty notes: -If we do go...

notes:

-If we do go paperless, will creating something for special people for memory sake

-I know we can and will make the decision that's best for us, just looking for opinions about the options.

-Everyone that we invite will have some level of computer access so not concerned about the "what if grandma misses the email"

Thanks!

I wanted to partly go paperless to cut down on paper waste. Im doing mostly digital save the dates with a few papers ones to older family members. Invitations will be all recycled paper but with mostly digital RSVPs. Vistaprint does super cheap invites with the option of recycled paper. I wouldn't do Evites on top of digital save the dates just because emails and PMs can easily get deleted or ignored. Incorporating both options to me seems best.

Thanks for the advice. Still torn.

I feel like physical invites get thrown out and forgotten just as easily an email would, but maybe that's just me. I also want the physical invite for memory sake... but is it worth the cost?

That's true. Some people will be careless with emails(like me) and others will throw out or misplace a paper invite(also me). Either way people will forget/lose them. We can't stress out too much about that on top of everything else! Do what feels right for you as long as it doesn't inconvenience others.
If you want the memory sake of a physical invite then go for it! Theres a lot of very budget friendly options for paper. The digital invites I found actually cost about the same as paper invites on Vistaprint. How much are the invites you were looking at?

I haven't gotten there yet. I'm currently at the planning stage where we are crunching numbers. I'm open to invites but figuring hey if we can save money let's start here!

My FH and I are planning to be as paperless as possible. The save-the dates will likely be paper as well as the invites. But we are planning to have the rsvp's electronic, and no programs for the ceremony.
