We're planning on doing this through AppyCouple. Two of our friends used AppyCouple for their RSVPs and it was literally the easiest thing ever from the guest POV. We did it in like ten seconds and that was the end of it. I already set up my AppyCouple site and it seems so easy to handle. And so much less expensive!!

I did email rsvps but only because I gave out the invites only about a month before the wedding, so there is no time to do mail rsvps. I got most people to respond, but in reality I don't think people took it very seriously. Though, I have a feeling I would have had to pull teeth for mailed cards too, just knowing my guests.

If I had more time I would have done mailed cards since I think they're fun.

We used the RSVP function, on our wedding website. It was free. We invited 250 guests and 248 responded, 10 days before our due date.

I'm doing online rsvps. We're doing it through our website. The info will be on a details card accompanying our invites.

My cousin used Paperless Post for her Save the Dates, her invitations, and all her other pre-wedding communication. I was a guest. My impression was that it was convenient, but it didn't look very nice. I'm sure she saved lots of money, as well as time tracking down addresses! The paperless option fit her theme of being environmentally and socially conscious. Her registry was a request for donations to various social justice and environmental groups.

I'm having the website option for RSVPs, but I'm also having the option of sending it back if they choose.

A friend of mine that got married earlier this month gave the option of the website RSVP, or they listed their phone numbers as another option and that worked well for them.

We're doing online RSVPs because half of our guests are in Europe and the the other half are in the US. This just seemed so much easier to me. We're using our The Knot wedding website for our RSVPs.

For those that have done this- was one website better than others? Thank you!

I'm having our guests rsvp on our wedding website. They will find their names on their Invitations for proper spelling.

We are using the tool on this website and people seemed to like it ... it's been 3 weeks since we sent out our invites and 1/2 of our guest list has already responded. We also included a phone number just in case people were leery about going online.

I am doing the wedding website RSVP through the weddingwire site. I haven't gotten anyone to actually use it to RSVP though, of the 4 I've received, 2 were via facebook message, one was verbally and one was verbal through a 3rd party (his sister just told his mom she would be coming).

@Future Mrs. Holz I'm also doing the AppyCouple website RSVP, my sister used it for her wedding 2 years ago and had no issues. I'm also including a phone number to RSVP on the invites in case anyone does not want to do it online.

I'm doing RSVPs online via this sites RSVP function but I'm putting in a card that directs people both to the site and that also has my phone # in case the older generation struggles.

@Alicia it doesn't look too difficult to figure out. It definitely looks like it needs time playing with in terms of who gets invited to which events but it doesn't look like rocket science!

Thank you all for your replies! For those who offered e-RSVP and paper - was a traditional RSVP card sent out with the invite? I'm planning to mail out a very simple invite with e-RSVP instructions and our phone numbers for the handful of "old school" RSVP-ers.

Thanks for the phone number idea.. I didn't think to add it as a backup.

@Angelica For my paper invites I'm doing a larger piece with the normal invite information and then a smaller double sided card - one side with the RSVP information (website, phone number, date needed) and on the other side additional details about the location and time. I'm hoping with only using 2 cards that I will not have to pay for extra postage, cutting costs where I can!

I had to rsvp recently to a wedding via email. The couple set up a new Gmail account for their wedding and used that for RSVP. I thought it was convenient. I didn't have to bother sending out a RSVP reply that I would have probably forgetten about.
