Paper RSVP vs Online RSVP

I'm doing traditional paper but I might side a printed note into my invitations asking my guest to RSVP online too. What are you all doing??

I am doing online, I created a email just for the wedding and linked it to our site. I have also provided my phone # for those who don't want to do it online. We are still sending out paper invites, just not RSVP's. To be perfectly honest stamps and extra envelopes cost too much and knowing our friends and family 80% will just tell me they are coming and never bother to send the card back. Online is easier for me to keep track of as well.

We weren't going to do RSVPs at all but when looking at websites I saw this as a feature and figured, eh, why not. It would give my an idea of how many veggie burgers I am going to need. I also put my phone # and email address on the "info card" just in case people feel more comfortable doing it that way.

My wedding is very casual though.

We did both but did not put postage on the paper ones to encourage people to RSVP online. We also did postcard rsvps so if people

did mail them back, it was cheaper. I would say most RSVP'd online and for those that didn't, I updated my wedding website as they came in so I could have an accurate count.

Hi Becky- how did this go for you? I want to do online only but have some concerns with some older family members.

With my invitations, I am having a traditional RSVP Card and Envelope, but I am not putting a stamp on the envelope. I am also adding a card that says to go to my website to RSVP. I am encouraging most to RSVP online by not having a stamp on the RSVP envelope, but I know at least 25% of my guests are not tech savvy and wouldn't be able to navigate to my website. They still have the option of mailing in the RSVP, but will have to provide their own stamp (I am trying to cut down on costs and printing that extra website card will only cost me around $7 rather than the $70 of adding RSVP Stamps). My website will say they don't have to RSVP in the mail if they did it online so people don't get confused. You could always just include RSVP card for those who you know will not be able to go online.

    Best wishes and Good luck!
