Panty Raffle - UPDATED... success!!

So, I don't like when bridal and lingerie showers mix. To me this is a bachelorette/lingerie shower thing and I wouldn't want to do it at typical bridal shower. That being said it may also mean you're about to have open lingerie in front of FMIL and Mother anyway because if I was told there was a panty raffle I'd assume it was a more lingerie/sexy stuff type of shower than the typical bridal shower.

I'd talk to your sister and maybe one of the guests to prepare yourself either way.

I feel like this game perhaps shouldn't be played with FMIL and your mother attending the shower... it's not exactly appropriate.

Personally I would be mortified if my mother and FMIL attended my shower and this occurred. There's just certain things a mom doesn't really need to be involved in.

I think it's a great idea with a awesome prize attached. People are so stuffy these days as if a smile or fun will throw them back a couple years. If you have to hide who you are from your fmil and future new family members then you should rethink the whole marriage. My bridal shower is this evening also and I am planning on having a dam good time so you should do the same.

@hisbeauty aw man!!! I think it definitely depends on the person and relationship. I'm very close to my FMIL and I just have a super free personality. I understand how some could be mortified though....

I have never heard of either a panty raffle or a diaper raffle but it sounds classy. I have been to lingerie showers before and they're fun, hopefully there's lots of food and booze at yours.

I really hope my guests won't cringe, they are a fun bunch! I think my sister did it for the bridal shower because my bachelorette will be considerably smaller than the bridal shower. Like 3 or 4 people small, lol

@Jameena-I had a GF do a lingerie shower instead of a big wedding shower and it was fun. Her mom was there and she was so much fun! If they are the kind that will enjoy it, then it will be a fun night.

Sounds like fun!! My mom and MIL both gifted me lingerie at my bridal shower.

My mom would absolutely laugh it off, me however would be so embarrassed. Now this is something I'd totally do with friends! hope you have fun!!!
