Hello!
So my fiance and I are medical students, so we are really trying to get everything planned before August, as my second year will be intense. The wedding will be next June, which is a popular month here to get married, so we starting looking for venues almost as soon as we got engaged. I found my dream venue with the first one I looked at, but continued to look because the price was a bit steep. I didn't end up finding anything that compared, unfortunately. We went to a bridal show and the venue I fell in love with was offering a $2000 discount, so we took it as a sign and jumped on it, but now I am feeling guilty.
The venue is almost all inclusive, with the exception of the ceremony (was offered, but we want to get married in a church), cake, flowers, and photographer. It includes an event coordinator, banquet manager, sit-down formal dinner for 150-200 guests, a DJ, $2000 worth of alcohol, a cocktail hour, 5 hour reception, bottle of champagne (not a huge deal), table numbers and easels, linens in any color (except sequin, lace, burlap, etc.-we would need to pay extra), tables, chiavari chairs, waiters and bartenders, unlimited soft drinks, cake cutting services, an event designer, menu tasting, and decor presentation. It was all of this for $13,000 with taxes and fees included. Did we go crazy, or does this seem reasonable? I tried comparing to other places and it seemed like most places would come out around the same at the end, but I can't help but be scared by this price.
Can someone just ease my mind lol. I guess it's just all now feeling real after putting the deposit!
