Painting a Cake Topper

Sam, on March 5, 2013 at 9:11 AM Posted in Planning 0 4

Hi!

I got a cake topper and the hair for both bride and the groom is blonde. My fiance and I have black hair. I have seen many people painting the hair before. I am not sure what paint to use. Can someone please help me with this?

This is the cake topper I have. It is porcelain.

Thanks!

Sam

Sam, I think it would depend on the material. Is it ceramic, plastic, wood????

Try a brown marker on it like a sharpie. If it does not work the way you want rub it off with some alcohol. I have colored things before with sharpie.

Get regular acrylic paint from a craft store- the kind that comes in the little plastic bottles and there are a million different colors. Thats what I used!
