What wedding details have you seen in pictures online everywhere that you have never seen in person at all at weddings you have attended?

Surprisingly all the weddings I’ve been to had floral centerpieces. My wedding was the only one With non floral centerpieces. But when I Pinterest I’ve seen a ton of candle centerpieces and stuff

...Never have I ever seen a mason jar at a wedding.

But that's probably because of where I live... it's really hard to have a "rustic" wedding in NYC!

I have actually never been to a wedding with a "grand exit." At every wedding I've been to (mine included), the couple is there until the very end. I've never seen a fancy getaway car or any of that. I've also never seen the rice (or substitute) throwing after the ceremony.

I’ve never seen a couple do a choreographed or fancier dance or the first dance — just swaying and talking to each other.

I haven't been to a wedding with a plated meal in the last 10 years.

No outdoor weddings either, but I live in the South and it's pretty dang hot here so that's not surprising.

To be honest, I've been to 9 weddings in the last 5 years and the only things I ever remember from those nights are (1) was I too hot or too cold (2) was the food good (3) was the music poppin' (4) is there an open bar. Guests don't notice much.

I haven’t been to many weddings but I don’t like doing the same as everyone else. I like to be unique as much as possible without it looking crazy. Some of the things I’m doing that I haven’t seen much of or heard of really is...I’m using pineapples for centerpieces (Hawaiian themed wedding). Since we will be a blended family I’m including a beautiful puzzle as the unity. It will have all our names on different pieces.

Yeah, probably. One of my besties had them at hers and I'll be having them at mine. I have a feeling they might be at my cousin's in Aug as well.

That sounds cool. I also like being unique. One of my closest friends got engaged in February (I got engaged in this past Feb), she got married Oct 14 (I'm getting married Oct 24). But I was adamant I was not using her same venue (it's too popular a choice for my town for me), and I will NOT have roses or sunflowers. I very much don't want it to seem like I'm copying anyone.
