Over sea's dress

Kelley-jo, on November 4, 2019 at 7:44 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4
I recently went over sea's to Barcelona, Spain and found my dream dress. Had the bridal moment and everything so with no hesitation bought the dress on spot as even with the price conversation from erous to USD i was still with in my budget. But now im freaking out how im going tk do my fitting. i have the option of getting the dress shipped over here to American, Ca and finding my own tailor for alterations or going over there. My question for yoy lovely brides. Is has anyone bought a dress outside their own country or even state. should i roll the dice on a different tailor or spend the money to visit Barcelona to be with thats tailor. (Witch will then put me over budget. )

I bought my dress in Texas and I live in and got married in California. I had my dress shipped to my house and found a seamstress here. You will need several fittings and they are spaced out so it wouldn’t make much sense to go to Barcelona multiple times or to stay for a month.

My dress was made by a designer in Spain as well, but I bought it from a salon here. I'd say have it shipped to you and find a seamstress where you live that has experience with your designer, or type of lace/embellishments.

I bought a different dress online from overseas (don't know if that counts) but I had it altered here. My tailor had no issues doing the alterations and it was really affordable

Just find a bridal gown seamstress near you and you should be fine!
