ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN ORDER OUTDOOR STRING LIGHTS FOR A TENT/GARDEN WEDDING AT HOME AND SHOULD I USE GLOBE LIGHTS?

MY COLORS ARE NAVY BLUE WITH CREAM ACCENTS MAYBE SOME PALE PINKS MIXED IN.

I think paper lanterns would be much better. It will be easier to find your colors and look more elegant. Check out this link:

Paper lanterns are a good idea. We are using oil lamps and lanterns. they also have cool lantern with a candle instead of oil on amazon for a decent price.

Also draping is good if you can afford it. You can combine that with some regular white Christmas lights and spot lights. I have no idea what it typically costs though. Try googling event drapery for examples.

Oh sorry about the multiposts but it seems like I always think of something after I hit enter. Use a lot of reflective surfaces in centerpieces and that will help add light/ sparkle to dress it up. You can do this with glass, mirrors, water, really all kinds of things.

Don't worry you can just make sure what ever you do make sure you put your personality into it. It's your day and it's not complete without putting your style and taste into it!

    Barbara,

If your tent ceiling is high enough, uplighting can look very nice.

What are you doing about trash cans? Should they be white or does that stand out too much? We are having 125 guests in a backyard reception for my daughter and her fiancé—so 3 large trash cans. Ugh! So unsightly. 😅
