Outdoor or indoor ceremonies

Pros and cons of outdoor and indoor ceremonies? I’m not sure which way I’m leaning yet. I think gardens are super pretty but I’m not sure if it’s the best idea.

Outdoor pros: pretty, typically need less decor

    Outdoor cons: weather

Indoor pros: can also be pretty, don't have to worry about weather

Indoor cons: may need more decor

If you decide to go for an outdoor ceremony, especially in April, you should have a solid rain plan.

I went with outdoor. The caveat to that was I needed to rent my own chairs and figure out my own av system

Outdoor: bugs, unpredictable weather, sun in people’s eyes, too hot or cold, heels in the grass, could be gorgeous

Indoor: not as scenic, but you can control the conditions

    Congratulations on your engagement Remi!

The pp's have mentioned a lot of pros and cons for both situations. Where are you planning on having your wedding? Is it very likely to rain in April? The weather is one of the major factors involved in having an outdoor wedding so this is definitely something that you need to consider.

If you are very stuck with this decision, you may be able to hold your ceremony outdoors and then your reception indoors. There is also the option of having a covered outdoor wedding with a tent!
