Outdoor Ceremony Temperature

Britany, on February 20, 2020 at 8:39 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 9
We are having a ceremony on March 8. Weather should be sunny and 60-64 degrees. We are only having a short ceremony and then going inside for the reception. Is that too cold if we keep it quick? It’s at a beautiful vineyard and I would love the ceremony to be outside.

I was in a wedding in October with similar temps and it was fine. Don't stress it

Personally, the 60s are my favorite weather! I don’t think it would be too cold at all. Besides, your guests are adults, they should be able to dress themselves according to the weather. Just make sure they are aware it will be an outdoor ceremony.

That sounds ideal to me unless it's overcast or windy.

Ok I feel much better about it. I heard if it’s below 65 you need heaters but I don’t want to spend any more money. So I’m just going to go with it and hope for the best.

I’m a sucker for cold so I’d find that a bit chilly but it also sounds like people could deal with it

I think that's fine, but if you are worried about guest comfort, you could provide blankets/shawls for guests. My aunt did this for my cousin's wedding. She got fleece blankets from Ikea for pretty cheap, they just rolled them up and put them in a basket for people to grab. They didn't have one for everyone. It was probably one for every couple. I still have mine that I keep in my office for when it gets chilly.
