Outdoor brides shoe dilemma

Lauren, on April 6, 2020 at 10:43 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8
Outdoor ceremony brides! My ceremony will be taking place in a vineyard in the grass but our reception will be indoors. Should I wear flat shoes or sandals? Or chunk short heels? What would be easiest to walk in? I want to still look bridal so I’m in a dilemma!

Unless you have a short dress, no one is really going to see your shoes. Also, there are plenty of flats and sandals that look very bridal. I would say wear whatever you feel the most comfortable in. Heck, some girls even wear Tom's or Converse. You're on your feet for hours, so you want to be comfortable.

I got married in a vineyard and wore glitter Keds. No one will see your shoes and I just wanted to be comfortable!

For me I am also outside but heels keep me in check with my posture lol. I am going to buy those heel guards so I don't sink in - but I'm also doing 2" heels so I feel like they tend to be a little chunkier anyway. You could do cute shoes like mentioned above. It comes down to what you want and what will keep you the most comfortable,.

If you must do heels you can do block heels it wedges as they tend not to sink into the ground but I’d go with leather over satin as satins stains easily. If you’re okay with wearing sneakers go for it. Keds/Sophia Webster makes really cute sparkly bridal ones. I believe DB does also.

My ceremony will be outside and we’re taking pictures in the woods on the trails. I’m having a pair “Toms” (different company but same style) custom made for my wedding. Not only are TOMS my favorite style of shoes anyway, my FH’s name is Tom too.

Go for comfort. The dress will cover the shoes. Definitely don’t want no heels out in a vineyard. Trip/heels sinking in. If part of it inside maybe bring 2 shoes. One for out one for in.

Some designer make bridal wedges like jimmy choo and Kate Soade - from the front looks like a bridal heel and from the side the wedge is covered in crystals
