Out of town wedding, meet and greet

Jamie, on April 26, 2017 at 7:32 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 4

So since my wedding is being held out of town, and most of our guests are out of state any way, we are going to host a meet and greet for our guests with food the night before. What food options should be acceptable? Would food platters from Costco be okay, or should I look into something a little higher end?

I personally think keeping it casual is fine. If I was attending your meet and greet I would be more than OK with Costco platters, their platters are great! Even for rehearsal dinners, many people on here recommend just ordering pizzas. We are doing a rehearsal and for the dinner portion my FIL's have decided to open it up for our out of town guests, we ended up going with a slider (food) truck.

We had a meet and greet for a friends wedding out of state and it was actually at a brewery so they just brought assorted desserts which was very nice.
