Are you providing gift bags or anything for out of town guests? What is appropriate? How much should be spent on eavh individual?

We didn't do it specifically for out-of-towners but if you stayed in our hotel block we had left gift bags at the front desk. We bought Amazon bulk just plain pink bags and I made print-at-home stickers to put on them. We included two bottle of water, mints, a small thing of advil, a bag of either chips or cheez-its, a granola bar, a travel thing of tums, some chocolates, and small bottle of tequila, fireball, or whisky.

I think each bag was maybe $5/piece

This is completely up to you and is not expected. I think it is a nice touch if it is in your budget. We had a semi-DW so gave a welcome box to everyone who stayed the weekend at our hotel. I got my welcome boxes on Etsy and then bought nearly everything in bulk on Amazon. I think I spent about $20 per welcome box.

    My welcome boxes included:

    - caramel popcorn

    - chili lime peanuts

    - cookies

    - granola bars

    - ponytail holders

    - chapstick

    - makeup remover wipes

    - 2 bottles of water

    - a hangover kit that included Advil, Emergen-C, Shout wipes, bandaids, mouthwash, mints and a granola bar.

The boxes were placed in each guest's room before arrival along with an itinerary, a card addressed specifically to that guest and a bottle of wine.

I’m thinking about it, at least snacks and emergency kits so they don’t have to leave the hotel. Headache and stomach relief for sure, then hearty snacks like a protein cookie maybe.

I am planning on doing some. Most of my family love out of state and will be traveling. I wanted to give them something to say thank you for coming all the way out here for us!! So I plan on doing a water bottle, snacks, info on locations around town, information on the wedding, an emergency kit type thing, recovery kit, and a local souvenir. I plan on spending about 15-20 on each one.

We gave them to all our guests that stayed in our hotel block. We went to costco and bought bulk individual wrapped popcorn, pringles, granola bars, and chocolate cookies. We picked up some pamphlets from the visitor center with information on things to do in the area (these are free). We used bags from amazon, cheap but cute. Lastly, we put two bottles of water in each bag. I sorted them out so there was one bag for every 2 people (a family of 4 had 2 bags for their room) and labeled each bag. We received a ton of compliments and thank yous for the bags. They're a nice touch for guests who travel.

Forgot to mention we also printed out wedding info, shuttle schedule, and driving directions for those who wanted to drive.

We're going to put together small bags for our guests with city attraction and historical info from the visitors center, water bottles, and a few snacks. I don't want to spend much money (and expect to spend maybe $3 per bag) but I think it'll be a nice touch

We did welcome bags to all guest since we had a destination wedding. What you spend on each depends on your budget and what you end up adding. I did not add any food or water because all my guest stay at an all inclusive hotel so I didn’t find this necessary. This is what I had.
    - Personalized bag
    - Small tequila bottle
    - Small tajin (Mexican seasoning)
    - Small Tabasco
    - Personalize mints
    - Hand sanitizer
    - Tissues
    - Do not disturb sign
    - Map of hotel
    - Itinerary
    - Flyer or what to do while in Mexico
    - Hangover kit bag included Advil, Alka-Seltzer, Emergency C, Tums, Bandaid of different size and Antibacterial Wipes.

All the signs, itinerary and maps were done and printed by me.

We thought about having them at the hotel. But some of our guests who are coming to town aren't going to the hotel right away. Some of FHS family is staying with his parents for a night- it was easier to drive them home then further away to the hotel.

We aren’t because our hotel was going to charge us just to hand them out 🙄 we are doing wedding favors given out at the reception instead
