otoplasty before marriage : what was your recovery time ?

My wedding is being scheduled for this autumn and it's high time I start my prep. Firstly, I need to pin my not-so-good looking ear to the sides. I understand that this surgery - otoplasty should be done from a well qualified and experienced surgeon. When I met a friend who'd got one done on her, she recommended her surgeon, Dr Sammy Sliwin of Toronto. Is there anyone who got their ear pinned before their marriage ? How long did it take for you to recover?

An old friend of mine got it done, and one of her ears didn't take. i dont know the recovery time, though. I also wouldn't consider August as the autumn...it's prime summer time.

This July it will be two years since my otoplasty! I went to Dr. Del Vecchio (Boston), he was awesome and i had the surgery in office. As for recovery time, I would say it took a couple of months for the swelling to go completely down, and a good year for my ears to not be sensitive anymore. I would do it all again in a heart beat! (:
