Other Possible Names for Cocktail Hour?

We have a substantial number of guests coming to my daughter's wedding who do not drink alcohol, and are not necessarily comfortable being around others who are drinking. There will be a "cocktail hour" with an open bar and snacks for an hour before the dinner reception. Are there any other possible...

We have a substantial number of guests coming to my daughter's wedding who do not drink alcohol, and are not necessarily comfortable being around others who are drinking. There will be a "cocktail hour" with an open bar and snacks for an hour before the dinner reception. Are there any other possible names for "cocktail hour" that might be more appealing to non-drinking guests, and would let them know that this hour is for them, too? And how will they know that they can also get non-alcoholic drinks from the bartender?

    An, yes, believe it or not. When dealing with Fundamentalists, lots of things can be offensive or just unknown. Now "fellowship", they would definitely understand. Smiley smile

    I think I have the answer for the most welcoming term for the variety of people: The winner in my book is "social hour".

    Now it is up to bride & groom if they want to take my suggestion or not.

    Daughter (bride) still has many effects of mono, so is wedding planning with me for sometime each day while they are home here, but she really has very limited energy. Smiley sad


    Now, how do I close a thread, or can we not do that any more?
