Other family members weighing in

Ok hi everyone ok here we go yesterday I gotten a call from my son that is in the army. He calls me and ask am I really getting married I sent them a invitation my daughter in law and she told that they have received it. So by them saying that threw me off when say he does have money to waste. And I said yes and I asked him why would you say that. So then he start questioning me about his god brother. And business conversations that we had about considering him as too cater for us. I was trying to help him out as well on putting his name out. Since this would be his first big job as for a wedding is considered. But I felt very upset with my son trying to weigh in on this matter because he's not helping me. With no part of my wedding and also I'm upset my god son for discussing what. We spoke about business matter with my son. I took it as a professional business arrangement and he shouldn't be discussing this with my son. He's not helping out financially with my wedding. And what I business that discuss with my god son should not be casually a topic between them too anything. Can not and doesn't have no say in my reception of my wedding. But he is throwing a retirement from the army for his mother in law.Am I wrong for feeling this way
