Oriental Trading....Experiences?

So, I ordered my card box from Oriental Trading on Sunday. Delivery date of Thursday (tomorrow). I got a confirmation number and everything. They said I would have an email within 24 hours with the same confirmation number. 24 hours later.. nothing. So I checked my bank account to see if the purchase went through, and it did. I had a pending charge from them. So yesterday, I still didn't have an email from them, so I went to check the order on the website.. and it doesn't even exist anymore. I checked my bank account and the charge is no longer there... My bank didn't contact me like if they thought it was a fraudulent charge.. and even then, the charge would still go through and then I would get reimbursed for it... I made some other purchases the same day and had no issues.. Has this happened to anyone else with this site?

    Yes, their communication is horrible! We order a lot of craft/party supplies from OT at my place of employment and they frequently run out of items and instead of emailing you and saying it's no longer available, they just refund your money. It's annoying because you never know if you will actually get your entire order but the prices are so good, we still shop there.

    Most companies do this. When you place an order you get a pending charge. The charge won't actually be processed through OT until your item ships. If it hasn't shipped yet it has been too long to keep the pending charge on your account so it drops off until it gets shipped (where the pending charge would happen again). I would call them and see what's up.

    Their coms are terrible. I didn't get a confirmation until after I had received my things.

    Yes their communication is terrible, but I've never had an issue getting the products I've ordered from there. I ordered a card box from there a few months ago myself and something very similar to that happened to me and then a few days later the card box arrived at my door and I checked my account online and the charge was back, kind of crazy but I received the card box in the end and it was beautiful.

    So they are overall reliable? I was wanting to order my candy buffet stuff from there.. and that will be a pretty good chunk of money so I was just wondering if I should get it from there or look elsewhere.

    I've never had a problem with them and I've always received my orders. I've ordered items from Oriental Trading company for over 10 years and never had a problem.

    Lucy, I actually found their candy buffet stuff to be more expensive than most places. If I were you id look around more.

    We ordered pin backs from them and it was super cheap and came fast.

    I've ordered from them twice and it seemed to be pretty fast shipping. I'm waiting on another order and have received the shipping confirmation so my items should arrive soon.
