ordering rings on Etsy

It depends on the seller you're buying from. I had great experiences, but I know of people who had terrible experiences.

Check all the reviews.

I ordered FH's 14k wedding band from Etsy and it is perfect. It was $400 less than the mall. I would be careful ordering anything with diamonds because if they fall out, the company may not warranty their products beyond 90 days and immediate manufacturing defects.

I LOVE etsy and have had a very good experience ordering from there. I do advice to check reviews of the shop you are interested in.

Like others said, you really have to do your research. There's a user here that was absolutely screwed on her Etsy ring---it took her a LOT of heartache to solve the problem and I don't think she ever did get fully reimbursed, I'm not sure.

However, others have gotten wonderful rings.

Personally....if it were me, I would buy an online ring for anything under $800 or so. Anything over that, and I need see/touch/inspect it myself.

It all depends on the shop/seller you order from. Both of my rings are from etsy. They're both antique rings and both are exactly what we ordered. I'm considering getting my FH's band from etsy as well.

No. Please don't. I went through hell with my rings from Etsy. I would avoid it to be safe.

But at the very least avoid Lifespirals. It's a scam. The woman is so rude. All her reviews are fantastic and she is in New York, but my ring was completely fake. Even the gems that were supposed to be lab created were hard plastic for the side stones and the center stone was a YAG. The "white gold plating" was not done, and the band snapped in a day. Not to mention my rings took 4 months to get here and then only one came. The second 2 months after that.

I still don't have a wedding or engagement ring. I wear this junk and am upset by it daily.

We're getting FH wedding band from etsy. We haven't ordered yet but have been in contact with guy for some questions we had and he's been awesome, has all great reviews. Like with anything else, I think just use caution and be smart. Read reviews, etc.

My engagement ring, wedding band, and FH's wedding band were all purchased through Etsy. I have absolutely zero complaints--all of the rings are far more beautiful and unique than any rings I've seen at a jeweler's. My FH even gave the wrong ring size for my engagement ring, and the seller re-sized it at no additional cost. I did only buy from US sellers with high reviews, which took some of the anxiety away.

I purchased my wedding band from etsy and although the band was thinner than I had imagined it to be I still love it and it compliments my engagement ring beautifully. I would definitely read the reviews and even message the dealer for all of the rings specs. Don't eyeball it!

I personally feel like wedding rings should be bought from a jewelry store. Just seems easier with cleaning, stone replacement if needed, etc.

FH ordered my 2K wedding set from Etsy and it's gorgeous and perfect. I bought his $250 wedding band from Etsy and he loves it. The wedding band cost about half what I priced out in local stores.

Both of our wedding bands came from Etsy, Gioielli Jewelry and TheLoveKnotShop. Had a great experience from both. Like others say, each shop is different, so read reviews and read their policies carefully.

FH bought my wedding band and engagement ring from Etsy. It's beautiful and when we got it appraised for insurance, they're worth 400 more than what he paid. He used MinimalVS and although she is not in the US, her work and quality are stunning.

Just read the reviews and talk with the shop owner first. I've had great luck with Etsy but FH researched for months.

Here's a picture. I love them because it's so unique and different than everything I've ever seen. It's a rose gold band with a champagne diamond and white gold with white diamond for the band.

Here is a picture of my ring set from TigerGemstones on Etsy. At the time we couldn't afford an expensive ring set but FH still wanted to get me a set that I loved. I paid $200 for this and it's absolutely amazing.
