Ordering invitations, stickers, change the dates from Etsy

Future Mrs. T, on August 14, 2020 at 12:36 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5
Hi all. If you’ve ordered your invitations, address stickers or any other personalized stationary from Etsy, is it custom for the seller to send you extras? When I received my address stickers I got 24 extra ones and when I ordered my change the dates I got 10 more than I ordered. When I got my invitations I only got a few more envelopes (that I knew was customary but never had experience with getting extra personalized orders) Did I just get lucky or is that a courtesy for stationary?

I ordered Save The Date magnets from Etsy, and the seller included a few extras. I also ordered invitations from a different shop on Etsy, and that seller did not include extras (though I didn't expect them to). I think you probably got lucky with the sellers giving a few extras - from my experience, not all sellers do that.

I would leave them a great review! Not all sellers do this. I have never experienced it.

It depends on the seller. Not all of them do that so it's an unexpected perk. Definitely leave a positive review.
