Order of dances

Yes, The most recent wedding I went to had the father/daughter dance and mother/son dance before the couple danced.

My future sister in law had the groom/mother, the bride/bother (their parents are deceased) and then the bride and groom. They did that because it kind of led up to their first dance and they also had a special choreography at the end. She also said if she had dance with her husband first people may have lost attention to other dances. I’m doing bride/groom as the first dance, it’s our first dance and we aren’t doing a choreography. But either way I think is pretty cool!!! Best wishes!!

Have you talked to your DJ about flow/schedule? I did, and he was fantastic, he thought of so much more than I did, and I feel so good about the schedule of the wedding.

Does your venue provide a DOC, if so, you may want to e-introduce them. They can ensure that the flow of the wedding doesn't get in the way of the kitchen, and dinner (or in my case lunch).

Hi Tarryn! I think this would be totally fine, sounds like it'll be fun! What song are you thinking of dancing to? If you are planning to have your dance with your spouse be the one that opens up the floor, I would do dinner before you start the dances!
