Just Said Yes November 2023

Opinions!

My husband and I got married at the courthouse on November 18th, 2019(mainly because of my moms attitude with having to see my dad, they are divorced). Now that my mom has “matured” in that aspect and is now having a civil relationship with my dad, my husband and I definitely want to have that wedding that we deserve and always dreamed about! Here’s my slight dilemma, do we do it November 19 2021, or on the actual date we went to the courthouse house and waiting till 2022. While doing it on our actual anniversary would be amazing, it just seems sooo far out. What do y’all think?!

Too far out is it because of the pandemic?

No, nothing to do with the pandemic! Just had in my mind that planning a ceremony and reception for 2022 is so far out so I had the thought on possibly doing it November of 2021. Difference between the two is 2021 is doing it the day after our 3 yr anniversary and 2022 is doing it the day of our anniversary.

I wouldn’t wait an entire year to get a specific date.

I wouldn’t push it a whole year just to be in the exact date either. If FH and I can’t have our wedding this year, we will still get married on our date and when we do a vow renewal in 2021/2022 we will just get as close to the date as possible.

Since you’re already married, I wouldn’t put much pressure on waiting to get the exact date. Anything that falls close to your original wedding date is still perfect for having an anniversary celebration/vow renewal.

Will you be ready to celebrate in 2021 or 2022?
If you start planning things now 2021 would be good enough time to get everything ready. Plus getting it close to anniversary date is good enough.
We eloped 11/01/19 and having a vow renewal 10/03/20 (now postponed 2x) and still celebrating our anniversary in Nov.

I don’t think I would wait too long Either just to get the exact date but the sentiment behind it is really nice
