Opinions please

I bought these shoes in white to wear for the reception and also for walking around the city for pictures. I am considering buying my girls matching black ones for the same purpose. They are all wearing black dresses of their choosing. I thought it would help keep them comfy so their feet don't get torn up...also, it could be cute Smiley smile Is this something you would appreciate? Or would you rather not get something like this? I have bought them a bunch of other gifts that aren't wedding-related, too.

Personally, I wouldn't appreciate it. They're not at all my style. Plus, I have to try shoes on to make sure they fit, because depending on the shoe, I may not wear the same size (I have shoes as small as a 6 and as big as a 7.5). In addition to all of that, it looks like those have an "internal" heel (?) and I sometimes have a hard time with some heels, due to an *old* injury that never healed quite right. It's a super sweet gesture, but if someone gave them to me, it's likely they'd never get worn (even for the wedding, depending on my foot that day) and if I was able to wear them for the wedding, I'd pitch them in the bin right after.

That's a great point. I in no shape or form have any expectations on them getting worn more than once, as I most likely won't wear mine again lol Thanks for your input, it's helpful.

Personally if I was told to wear specific shoes for a wedding I'd be annoyed. They wouldn't be worn again. I rarely wear anything with a heel out of comfort and these look like wedges. I'd rather wear sparkly black sneakers.

Just to clarify, I'm not telling them what shoes to wear. These are just secondary shoes they can wear or toss. Their dressy shoes are whatever style, whatever color.

My recommendation is get them for you if you love the look. (I love the sparkles!) But to ask someone else to wear your shoe choice could be an imposition. Not all shoes fit everyone one the same. I think I'd have to carry the shoes to the photo shoot and then put them on for the pic. I don't think they'd agree with my feet. BUT.... wear them if it's what you want. It is your wedding after all.

Oh then honestly tell/ask them what you said here. You thought they'd be nice and will buy them but not if they won't wear them. Your bridesmaids should be your closest people so I doubt they'd have any problems with you asking.

I wouldn’t bother unless you know they’ll actually like them. To me they look super uncomfortable, I’m not much of a heel gal as I’m already plenty tall 🤣

Personally, I think this would be adorable! Maybe ask them if they’d like the idea, and if they’d feel more comfortable in wedges or sparkly flats.
