Opinions on black bridesmaids dresses?

I like it. It looks very elegant to me

Not at all. My sister did a black, white, and purple color scheme, and it was beautiful. It definitely created an elegant, formal vibe.

So i was really set on the black bridesmaids dresses idea and was talked out of it because our wedding is in a garden in the spring so it wouldn’t really match the “vibe.” I think it looks extremely elegant and sophisticated, and if that’s what you’re going for then do it!

I guess it would also depend on the time you are having the wedding. I am doing black for my bridesmaids and our ceremony will be a sunset ceremony so black will bring some romantic elegant feel to it

One of my besties did black dresses but the catch was each of us had a specific pop of color. I had yellow, so my shoes, necklace and bouquet were all yellow.

I love that look! It’s very classy and timeless. I am doing black bridesmaids dresses and doing white and a lot of greenery for florals. We are doing next spring so initially I was thinking of doing a “lighter” look, but we are getting married in an industrial building and our wedding is at 6PM so I don’t think it will look out of place. I agree that it depends on venue and time of wedding.
