Opinions on adding a removable tulle skirt needed!!!!

Happily Ever Harris, on July 21, 2014 at 5:28 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 7

I'm not sure if I'm have dress regret or what, but I can't help thinking I want a little something more to my dress for the ceremony....I got my dress at BHLDN and now they have a tulle skirt and I'm wondering what your opinions are on the dress and the idea of adding this tulle skirt for the ceremony! Thanks all!

I think the tulle skirt idea is an awesome one. But your dress is really pretty as it is too!

IMO a wedding is just not the place for a removable skirt. I like the look in the second picture but I'm not sure how it will translate in real life.

If you are looking to add a little more to your dress, what about a slip with some volume for the bottom? Or a sash around the waist? I do feel like you need to break up the lace and maybe give it a little more shape.

Thanks for the opinions! I like how fun it could be too and easy to have a reception change!

Karen- I'm not positive what I'm thinking exactly but I like the sash or volume under instead of over ideas, I'm just worried I won't feel totally "bridal"...if that makes sense!

I like the idea of the skirt but agree the execution might be a bit off..I also think a really nice blingy belt would look fabulous and break up the dress a bit - tho I also think it look stunning as is Smiley smile

@Ashley, I felt like that too when I was trying on dresses. I was getting really frustrated at my appointment and I didn't think I would ever find something that felt like I thought a wedding dress was supposed to feel like. If that makes sense lol. But my mom is crazy and loves to watch SYTTD and when I put my dress on for the second time she yelled "Jack her up!" and got a sash, a hair comb and a crazy amazing veil and that's when I knew it felt right.

@Karen- dying at "jack her up"!!! Hahaha!

I'm glad I'm not the only one, looks like I'll need to try it on again and put my whole look together and I think I'll feel right about it! Thank you!
