Opinion: Ivory dress with silver sequins....what color shoes?

P2BE, on January 1, 2016 at 9:55 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12

My dress is ivory with a little bit of silver bling around the neckline. I was looking at the Badgley ivory shoes but most of their brooches have silver jewels set in gold. I can't seem to find ivory with silver only. What do you guys think? Should I be looking at silver shoes instead or is the gold setting not that big of a deal? If your dress has ivory/silver what shoes did you go for? I liked these shoes because they look comfy but again that gold setting was making me think twice about it. See pic in comments...

Don't see the pic, but my dress is also ivory with bling at the neckline. I bought ivory shoes and added my own bling, but the designer makes the most comfortable shoes with different silver bling at the toe. They are called Angela Nuran's.

Saw the pic briefly, those are beautiful! To be honest I don't think anybody would notice the gold part not matching or anything if you love them, but if it would bother you, def look at Angela Nuran's. I got mine on Tradesy for $50 and added my own bling, but retail they are a little pricey. Most comfortable heels I've ever worn.

I don't think the gold setting is a big deal, but there are some really great silver shoes out there, too if you're worried about it! My dress is ivory with a silver flower on the side and I'm doing silver shoes.

No one is going to see your shoes anyways, unless you have a short dress.

Thanks ladies!! @Jennifer- how tall is the heel on the badgley? I never trust what they say online b/c one website says one thing and the other says something else. I'm trying to get somewhat comfy shoes. The $15 payless wedge is tempting as well! Thank you:-)

I went with solid silver shoes with my white with bling gown. Jest because all the white with accent shoes didn't suite me. Besides. I'm the princess of the day so... All the sparkle.

I have a similar situation. Ivory dress with silver beading. I went to DSW and found a ton of shoes. The ones I bought are silver.

I had an ivory dress with beading, and these are the shoes I wore. I got them from DSW.

What about maroon or navy shoes instead of ivory?
