Thanks for your help, I just attended two weddings in this country and I noticed the open bar, I really wouldn't like to be impolite by doing things just because i wasn't aware on this topic.

It is my biggest concern because I feel it does not look good, although only the wine and beer option is a bit expensive, I will try to adjust my guest list or just have a open bar for a couple of hours.

I would love to put a few bottles of wine on each table to save some money but my venue doesn’t allow it..

I’m thinking 2 hours open bar and the 2 hours left just cash bar. I definitely can’t cover 4 hours and I don’t drink very much either.

    Open bar.

    Open bar.

    Open bar.

I don't drink much, and I still prefer an open bar.

Cocktail hour where guests have to pay for their drinks just seems cheap.

If you must save money, I'd recommend a limited open bar. You can either do it where it's an open bar, but only for an hour or two, then cash bar after, or have beer and wine available at no cost, but guests pay for liquor. Either is preferable to a pure cash bar, IMO.

I would recommend having beer, wine and soda and allow people to buy liquor if desired

I've only been to one open bar wedding. And the bar was so hidden, we never found it.
Cash bar with free beer is the norm in my area

Let your budget decide. If you are still on the fence, look at your guests. For example, my extended family likes to drink A LOT. So, I'll be having an open bar. If your family/friends aren't big drinkers, maybe stick to a cash bar to save some money.
