Open Bar minimum?

I would need more info, like is that cost only for everyone that's 21+? I'd also get an idea of how many guests are coming that will drink and determine whether that's in your budget. Otherwise, I feel like I'd keep looking around for other options

If the venue requires you to use their alcohol package, then you really don’t have a choice. You can either change venues or accept the package offered. I agree with PP, though, that if you have anyone under 21, they will probably charge less for those guests.

Is there a difference in quality/name of the liquor? Like does the caterer only offer well liquor and the venue provide top shelf?

If the venue requires a specific vendor or that you use what themselves provide, they don’t allow you to go elsewhere for a different price. You are better off going with a different venue that doesn’t require specific vendors. The specific required vendors is a huge deal breaker for some people which is why blank slate venues are popular and often cheaper due to flexibility.


Is the cost the deciding factor or is the venue a must have despite the requirements they have?
