Okay, First you need to book your venue reception, photographer, caterer and caker maker and ask your bridal party, Pick out invites, get them mailed, Please under any circumstance, don't think you are going to get everything you guys want for the wedding, because there is simply not quite enough time (sorry if I'm being rude)Just keep it as simple as possible so there is less stress and less things to worry about!! Remember to create a registry if you are doing so, create a website to if you like to post your registry info..Try to book the ceremony location and reception location in the same place, there will be less travelling and easier to decorate (if you are using the same room) Best of luck!

Oh what a rush!!! Smiley smile Don't worry, I was engaged on 12/28/08 and had the whole wedding planned by 1/31/09 Smiley smile

We aren't getting married until 9/5/09, but I also had my best friends wedding to help plan. They were engaged the same time and got married last month. We planned her wedding along side mine. Just remember, it's only a big party! And there are plenty of people in your social circle who would be honored to help in anyway they can, let them! Congrats and enjoy every moment of the planning, and the marriage!

Ok the first thing to do is take a LARGE deep breath!!!! You need to do the biggest thing first...find your dress, once you have done that figure out where you want to have the Wedding and see if they have your date open...make sure you have a few places picked out just in case your number 1 pic is taken. Then find your photographer...which I am one by the way lol then your flowers and so on. Make sure to hand down things to do to other people...this will help you so your not so stressed out. I hope this has helped a little.

If you have the money, the other thing to do is to hire someone to do it all for you!!!! Then there really is no stress

Don't worry. Just try to calm down and relax a little. The most important thing is to stay organized. I am not saying it will be easy but it is possible. I just attended a wedding on May 29 that my friend planned in 3 WEEKS and it turned out spectacular!

    Hi Nelio G,

Do not worry you still have time... First things first you gotta decide where you want to get married. If you are on a budget you could have in India as there is a currency difference and you will get a lot more for the same amount you would spend in your country. If you need futher details contact me at **********@*****.***

You can definitely do it. Do you want to? It really depends on the kind of wedding planning experience you want. Maybe he doesn't see the point in waiting, but if you want to take your time and make sure things are the way you want them there may be good reason to wait. Either way, by asking to have the wedding pushed up a year, your FH has just volunteered himself for much more of the wedding planning than grooms typically do. Get on track with how this will be a team effort.

    CONGRATS!!!!!

No stressing! I know it is hard but you will be ok Smiley smile

Decide like everyone else has said the major stuff first. Decide whether you want a big or small wedding. Keep that in mind at all times and stick with it. At this time also decide on a budget and start looking at venues and major things like Catering and so on! Don't start worrying about little things just yet do big picture stuff and details later. You will be fine and If you need advice you always have this forum. These girls have been very very helpful. Lots of experience here so don't be afraid to ask about anything.

    Congrats and Happy planning!
