Online rsvp Success rate

Emly, on June 12, 2019 at 12:22 PM Posted in Planning 0 17

Those of you who have offered an online RSVP what was your success rate??

We are thinking of doing a combo of card and online RSVP options. But I don't want to go though the trouble of adding my guests into the guest list if its not going to be worth it, Likewise with the Cards, I don't want to spend money on stamps if everyone opts for the online option.

What did you do and how did it work out?

I did online rsvp only. I had a few older people let me know they were coming by mouth and I just Rsvp’d for them online. It was easier and quicker to me and for them.

We are doing online only. Personally I would pick either online or cards instead of doing a mix of both. I have heard from several people who did both that most people just mailed the cards (even younger people) so the online option was kind of pointless. At the same time, I have heard from people who did online-only that it was very easy and almost everyone used it.

We did a card and online and only received 2 online RSVPs. If it’s easy to do then do it otherwise don’t waste the time

I am doing online only. The way I see it you are going to have to put your guest list someplace even if you are getting cards back to keep track of who is coming and not.

I did a combo . Online just for the Americans and cards for non English speakers. I would say I received a good amount of RSVPs online but still... There's always people who won't rsvp that you'd need to chase for an answer

We’re doing online only! So much easier to track everything automatically & also a great way to get the guests to our wedding website where all wedding info is. All weddings we went to in the last years had online only RSVP & as a guests, I prefer it so much more than mailing RSVP. All our guests are computer literate, so it will be easy for them. This is something to take into account when thinking about your guests.

We did online only and it worked perfectly, even for our older guests. We only had to follow up with I think three or four households so I think people appreciated the convenience of it. It also drove our guests to our website for lodging and transportation information. The RSVP option here (way more user friendly for your guests than The Knot IMO) also helps you with your seating chart as they have a tool where you can arrange your tables and drag your guests names to their seats based on who RSVPd yes.

We did card and online and I honestly received the same amount for both. I liked giving people the option!

I personally haven't decided, but I'm leaning towards online. However, as a guest to weddings, if there is an RSVP card that already has a stamp on it, I tend to mail it since the couple already paid the postage for me.

Yes, we did. But we had postcard size RSVPs, and only had about 50 to send out so it ended up being around $20, so not a big deal lol.

I just mailed out my invitations. I gave people an option. I only put stamps on the RSVP envelopes of people I know would be returning it. I didn’t use detail cards but on the inner flap of the envelop I printed a clear Avery label with the wedding website information and pasted it there. On the RSVP card I also had the wedding website information and letting guest know they have an option. I’m hoping and praying most people use online because it’s so much easier to keep track of guest and food restrictions.

We did online only and had no issues. There are going to be people you have to follow up with no matter the method you choose.

We put stamped & addressed RSVP cards in every envelope and the RSVP card said "or you can RSVP online at...". We sent out 110 invites to 225 people. Our RSVP date was Monday, we had heard from 164 people (so around 70 households). 80% of them used the paper RSVPs, 20% did the online RSVP. We have a mostly young guest list. We had to contact 61 people and a few have done the online RSVP since they were late.

We did online only and had basically a 100% success rate. There were a couple of people we knew were coming & I figured we'd just mark them down but they actually ended up getting on there and RSVPing for themselves. I think its mostly a know your crowd thing but even people who I wasn't aware had access to smartphones/computers did it. Online was nice because it was instant so we could start following up with people the day after our due date because we weren't waiting on anything in the mail.

Doing online RSVP, and sent our invites out on Monday.

BM gets 5 House points, because he RSVP'd first, early this morning. Some older friends of ours just RSVP'd a few minutes ago. A good friend clearly got the invites (she told me she liked them), but hasn't RSVP'd, yet..

So far? So good. But we shall see.

We are doing online RSVPs via Zola. We are sending RSVP cards to only a few of our guests, such as grandparents and older guests who will find that method easier. The rest of the guests will have our wedding website on their details card.
