Online dress purchase

Im thinking of getting my dress online? Has anyone else done this? How was your experience? How far in advance did you purchase it?

I bought my beautiful dress online from BHLDN (I got a crazy good deal on it)

My take is if you like shopping online its great!

-Know your size and measurements to compare to the size chart online.

    - Use trusted websites; don't try to buy from any that seem to good to be true, because they 99% of the time are.. (Azazie is a FANTASTIC lower priced site)

    - Compare a dress you tried on elsewhere to the one you're looking at on line. For example I knew I fit an Azazie size 4 perfectly so I compared the measurements of the BHLDN dress and it worked out perfect!

    - Look at the sale section online! While you shouldn't just buy a dress because its a good price it definitely helps!

I loved buying my dress online, although i wasn't able to try them on, it was easier for me to filter thought to find out exactly what i wanted.

    Good luck girl!!

I would avoid the Asian knockoff sites as those are very hit or miss.

I went with Anomalie! I started the process in February 2019 and my wedding is in May 2020. The process is easy if you know what you want. My dress is in production and the expected delivery date is in August.

I ordered mine from www.formaldressshops.com. I ordered the size I thought I needed based on their sizing chart. When I got the dress, it was too small. I sent it back and got the next size up. My best advice is order the next size up from what you think you'll need because it's easier to have the dress taken in than let out. It's been my experience that most formal/bridal dresses are cut smaller than regular clothes.

They no longer carry the dress I bought but this is very similar: https://formaldressshops.com/wedding-dresses/sweet-15-quinceanera-dress.html

I couldn't bring myself to pay $1,000s for a dress and honestly, I don't think anyone really thought about it only costing $225. The dress I bought ended up fitting perfectly. I didn't have to have any alterations done which was shocking. I'm only 5ft tall and I wore 3" heels. The dress hit perfectly right at my toes. The dress was also fully lined.

I've seen a lot of people do this but I would plan in advance in case sizing is off. I personally couldn't do it because I would have anxiety not knowing if I liked it on me or not. I went to my bridal appointment with my mind set on a certain style and every dress in that style I hated my consultant offered a style dress I hated and was set on not getting but I still tried it on and I fell in love. Without being in person I would have never tried that style. To each their own though! Smiley smile Did you find one you love yet?

I haven't, mainly because I'm terrified of it being wrong (I'm a big girl and these things don't go well for me) but anyway, if you do I would say order it pretty far in advance, that way you have plenty of time in the event that something does happen and you need to have it altered, replaced, ect. I wish you luck!!
