Azazie. They have a try on at home program which prevents what you describe, and they have custom sizing, so no trying to fit into an in-between size problem.

I picked a color, fabric, and length from Azazie and my girls picked their own dresses. A few needed alterations, but that is pretty standard. I told them 14 months ahead of time so a few took advantage of sales and saved money, standard dresses cost $89-$169 not including shipping. They offered try on dresses for $10 too.

Overall, I was super happy with the dresses!

I just found this cool site brideside.com that lets you try on bridesmaids dresses at home from designers before you buy them like azazie does. It also lets your bridesmaids pick out dresses they like and what you like and it’s saved under favorites. I have not tried the try at home yet but I’m obsessed with Jenny yoo dresses so I might try it out.

We got ours from Lulus and have had a great response from the girls about it!

I've used Azazie before and was very happy with the quality, price, and fit. They also offer custom sizing for no additional charge (although the custom's are not returnable) but that should eliminate or significantly decrease the amount of alterations.
